Share files between devices on your Wi-Fi
LocalSend is a free, open-source app for sending files and messages between nearby devices on the same Wi-Fi or local network — no internet connection, account or cable needed. Think of it as an AirDrop alternative that works across Windows, Mac, Linux, Android and iPhone.
Install LocalSend on both devices, open it, and they find each other automatically. Pick files, photos or folders and send them; transfers are encrypted and go directly from device to device, so they are fast and private. You can also share text and links, and set it to accept files automatically from your own devices.
Both devices must be on the same network and some strict firewalls or public Wi-Fi networks may block discovery. For moving photos from your phone to your PC or sharing files with someone in the same room, LocalSend is wonderfully simple.
