Fast cloud-based messaging
Telegram Desktop is the official Windows app for the Telegram messaging service. Your chats are stored in the cloud, so messages, photos and files sync instantly between your phone, computer and the web, and you can keep chatting even if your phone is switched off.
Telegram supports private chats, groups with up to hundreds of thousands of members, broadcast channels, bots, voice and video calls, and sharing very large files. Desktop features include keyboard shortcuts, multiple accounts, folders for organising chats, and quick search across all conversations.
Normal Telegram chats are encrypted between your device and Telegram's servers but are not end-to-end encrypted; only Secret Chats on mobile offer that. If maximum privacy matters most, Signal may be a better fit. For fast messaging, communities and file sharing on a PC, Telegram Desktop is quick, light and polished.
