Free email client with calendar and contacts
Thunderbird is a free, open-source email client from the Mozilla family. It manages several email accounts — Gmail, Outlook.com, Yahoo, company mail and others — in one place, with a unified inbox, powerful search and message filters.
Built-in features include a calendar and task list, an address book, a chat client, an RSS feed reader, and OpenPGP end-to-end encryption for sending private email. Add-ons and themes let you customise it further. Because messages are stored on your computer, you can search and read older mail even when offline.
Setting up accounts is mostly automatic, though some corporate servers need manual settings. If you prefer a desktop email program to webmail, or want an alternative to Microsoft Outlook without a subscription, Thunderbird is a mature and reliable option.
