FreeCAD vs LibreCAD: which should you use on Windows?
Both are free and open source, but they work in different dimensions. FreeCAD models parts in 3D, and LibreCAD draws in 2D.
Short answer
For flat drawings such as floor plans and schematics, choose LibreCAD. For 3D parts that you might 3D-print or machine, choose FreeCAD, which can also produce 2D drawings from your model.
